Spring has sprung! And with it come reminders to enjoy each present moment. After all, like the lilacs and peonies, joy can be fleeting. In truth, it always is.
One of the greatest lessons mindfulness offers us is we can no more hold on to joy than we can keep pain at bay.
Each experience has it’s place and time. In striving to hold on to something good, we may loose out on enjoying the beautiful, present moment. And worrying about how to avoid something difficult brings it’s own difficult experience.
Like the leaps our children make, each moment comes and goes so quickly. My wish for each of you this season is that you breath deeply and allow yourself to experience each joyful moment fully.
